Why hire talents from Niger

Niger presents a promising talent pool for international organizations looking to expand their operations. According to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, the literacy rate in Niger has been on the rise, demonstrating the increasing potential of the country’s human capital. This growth in literacy rate implies a workforce that is increasingly skilled and adaptable, with a strong foundation in both local and global industries.

Niger’s talented professionals possess expertise in a diverse range of sectors, including agriculture, mining, information technology, and telecommunications. These highly skilled individuals are well-equipped to meet the demands of today’s dynamic and competitive business environment. By tapping into Niger’s talent pool, your organization can benefit from a workforce that offers not only technical proficiency but also valuable insights into the local market and culture.

With Breedj’s RPO services, you can efficiently and effectively source and hire the top talent Niger has to offer, ensuring your organization’s continued growth and success in the region.

Employment contracts in Niger should follow best practices, and it is highly recommended to draft them in French, the official language of the country. This ensures that all parties clearly understand their rights and obligations, reducing the risk of disputes and misunderstandings.

The probationary period in Niger can last up to six months, providing both the employer and employee with an opportunity to assess the suitability of the employment relationship. This period offers flexibility for both parties to make adjustments or terminate the contract if necessary.

Understanding and complying with employment termination policies in Niger is crucial for international organizations operating in the country. At Breedj, we are committed to providing our clients with accurate guidance on the general termination policies in Niger, ensuring a smooth and fair process for both employers and employees.

When terminating employment in Niger, adherence to the required notice periods is essential. Notice pay varies according to the employee’s role and is as follows:

In the case of individual dismissals, employers are obligated to provide severance pay based on the employee’s years of service:

  • 20% of average monthly salary for the first 5 years of service (6 days salary for one year of service and 1 month salary after 5 years of service)
  • 30% of overall average monthly salary for each completed year from the 6th to the 10th year inclusive (9 days for each year of service and 45 days for 5 years)
  • 35% of the overall average monthly salary per year beyond the 10th year
