Ease of doing business in Egypt

Egypt is a country that offers attractive business opportunities for global organizations. According to the World Bank’s latest index on ease of doing business, Egypt ranks 114 out of 190 countries. While this may not seem like a high rank, it is worth noting that Egypt has been steadily improving its business environment in recent years.

The World Bank’s index takes into account various factors, including the ease of starting a business, obtaining permits, accessing credit, and enforcing contracts. Egypt has made significant progress in several areas, including starting a business, getting electricity, and registering property. However, there is still room for improvement in areas such as enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency.

Despite these challenges, Egypt remains a promising market for global organizations looking to expand into the Middle East and North Africa region. With a population of over 100 million, a strategic location, and a diverse economy, Egypt offers many opportunities for growth and investment.

At Breedj, we understand the challenges of doing business in Egypt, and we have a deep understanding of the local market and employment landscape. While Egypt’s ranking on the World Bank’s index on ease of doing business may not be the highest, it is still a promising market for global organizations.
